Converting Flatbed to Dump Trailer

I've got a 35' flatbed on the way that I am planning to put a dump bed on. The question here, has anybody seen any kits already put together out there to do this. I know they have them for pick up beds, Im looking for the same kind of thing just heavier lifting. I can put this together from parts pretty easy, but I know there has to be a kit somewhere.

Are you planning to build a 35' Dump box to go with it??

By the time you had the thing built and all the hydraulics and what not the trailer would probably weigh HUGE!

What size axles are under the trailer now??? Is this a gooseneck???

I don't know what you plan to haul but I'm not sure you can keep it balanced with much weight! it would be so top heavy when you are dumping etc.

Its got 3 7000# axles under it with a low boy deck between the wheels. All I'm gonna do is pull the decking off and put the new deck over the tires to add width and get the deck higher for dumping. If I use 6" X 4" rails the length of the bed for the main rails and then cross them with 4" x 4" stock for cross members that will get me over the tires and give me the strength for the lift bed. I haule alot of round bales of hay and this would give me a way of unloading by myself. The deck length on this is only about 27-28' the rest is gooseneck hitch.

you would need a telescopic ram to dump high enough for that. if its just hay bales what about 2 scissor rams on a side dump? wouldnt have to go very high and the round bales would roll out before you were worried about tipping. just need removeable sides

Yep thats the way you do it. Find an old junk dump truck, cut the box off the lift frame, install it and put your bed on top of it. Get a PTO pump and you are all set. Built a couple of them.
