I just bought a 2015 tradesman 2500 and I'm gonna buy a new adjustable ball mount. I got to reading about some possible breakage on the factory hitch and I don't want to have to even worry about it. Does anyone know the hitch capacity for the factory hitch?

 

Not saying I'm right but I have yet to see a factory ball mount hitch that was rated over 10k.

 

I would be satisfied if it was rated for 10,000 but we will see. im gonna keep searching.

Right on the Dodge web page it say "standard 18k class V trailer tow hitch".

 

Well, I feel dumb now. I have looked over the website a half dozen times and never did see that. I was reading a thread on another forum and people were wondering the same thing. Thanks for locating that for me. It's one less piece of equipment I'll have to upgrade.
