camper slide out

I purchased a fiver and the relay for the slide out seems to be bad. The relay is made by power gear. I cant find a place to buy this relay. (powergear 14-1098) My question is.. there are 2 wires coming from the slide motor, if i put power to them it should open, and if i reverse the wires it should close, right? It is a PITA to crawl under the camper and use a ratchet and a socket. Any info, or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Or can someone point me in the right direction to get the relay.

Yes, if you put voltage to the motor one way, it runs out, and reverse the polarity and it runs in.

I would think any good RV shop should have a slideout control relay that will work.

Dinking around, powergearus.com has a locator for service parts dealers...

Leach camper sales in Lincoln is listed as their dealer in your state. 866-621-0821

I think (confirm this) that 14-1098 might be an obsolete part, replaced by harness 445463 and relay 140-1130?

Replaced the relay on FILs' trailer last year. Used 2 Bosch style relays to do the work of the original. Picked them up at Bumper-to-Bumper, along with wiring harness. You're on the right track with the wiring. 12 volt motors reverse with polarity changes.
