Busted tow mirror cost?
Busted tow mirror cost?
I just moved to a new place and missjudged the garage door yesterday taking out both pieces of the passenger side tow mirror (flat, and convext parts). What should I expect to pay for getting this replaced?

I've tried a local glass shop and they want $25+tax for the L piece which isn't too bad, but then it's $55+tax for the convex portion. That's going to be about $90 total. If I recal I can almost get a whole new mirror assembly for that. Does this sound right to anyone or should I be able to get a better deal?

Damon
Re:Busted tow mirror cost?
I thought the whole mirror was about $200 + from the dealer, unless you get both mirrors together in a kit, which was a little over $300....

I busted my drivers side mirror a couple months ago and decided to get aftermarket power/heated tow mirrors. Got sick of the manual adjusting.

Other than that, it don't sound like a bad price to get them fixed.

Tony
Re:Busted tow mirror cost?
ok, my '02 came with the power heated regular mirrors and I payed $220 shipped for new in box tow mirrors from a south west dealer who's name escapes me right now (I can look it up for anyone who cares). So technically that's $110 each, not that I think I could buy just one for that price, but it's awfully close to $90 for just the glass.

They aren't powered but that's not super important to me right now, so I guess I'll just fork out for the glass.

Thanks.
Re:Busted tow mirror cost?
i paid 15.00 Canadian for the big L piece, from Speedy auto glass.didn't price out convex. took a couple of minutes to fix.I had to break the original to get at the tightening nut which loostened off after about a year.I paid 270 Can. for both mirrors from dealer.
