brake controller recommendations?

Reports from others about the DIRECLINK controller previously using P3 "disagree" with your statement.

Whatever makes it different makes it different. And I'd assume (at this point) that it is the sophisticated use of OBD data. Some big online retailers have dropped the MAXBRAKE in favor of DIRECLINK. It may take some time to sort out the what and why.

The DIRECLINK module (actuator) for trailer ABS is the clue. That'll take more than pressure readings to run correctly.
