ive understood that if my truck has the towing package that when i get a brake controller i simply am abel to plug it in. where is the plug in located(somewhere under the dash im sure) and is it already plugged in to something else or just a empty plug ?

 

Yeah, plug it in and go. The plug is down between the clutch and parking brake pedals. There's about a 4" white electrical connector that's easy to spot. The brake control plug is right on top of that. Nothing should be plugged in to it.

 

My plug was a blue one located above or behind the clutch. It was attached to a big bunch of wires, and kinda hard to see. Wont be anything pluged to it, all by its lonesome.

 

Be sure to get the harness for your controller that mates up to the Dodge connector or you will have to splice the truck harness to the controller harness, here is a pic of the plug:
