Best way to install e-track???

I am in the process of relocating to CA from NY and I bought a 40' goose to haul everything out there and then store my stuf intill I find a house to buy. Anyway I need some places to tie down my stuff includeing my tool box, aobut 4000lbs. I bought 75' of e-track and need to install it in the trailer. the sides and floor have 3/4" plywood and I was planning on bolting it to the wood and where there is a support bolting it to that but thoes are only every 16", my question is what is the bet way to bolt it to there and will it be strong enoughto hold some big items. I also bought a motorcycle tie down system to attach to the e-track on the floor.
Any help or suggustions please let me know, Pics are also nice
Jeff

wondering about this myself. I am getting ready to install some in my box trailer. It has a lot of holes in it, was figuring on running the biggest screws that will fit thru the holes in all of them into the plywood, & just bolts thru the ones that are going to go thru the frame cross members. When you go to tie the heavier stuff down, you could make sure to tie it at the cross memer points. I think this will work

i put some in my enclosed trailer. I put bolts thru crossmembers where i could. I put bolts in every 3 hole. The bolt holes are 2" apart. I am adding more this weekend so i can haul 3 bikes, will most likely go every other hole. For the heavy items like the tool box i would use every hole just to be sure. The e-track is a great addition and permanent.

Are you talking about the holes in the E-track?

Every trailer I have ever owned has 16" on center crossmembers. This limits how many holes you can use to secure the E-track to the wall.

That would be the first enclosed trailer that I have ever seen or heard of having 3/4 plywood walls. Think of the extra weight of that over 3/8 on a 40 ft trailer.
I used tek screws into the wall structure of mine, and have hauled quite a bit of weight on it with some of those crossbars. Just shoot them thru the ply into the steel.

Well your right, after I started to drill into the walls I did find out that there only 1/2" board, but the floor is 3/4. Anyway I have got them installed and been able to hold some good tension on the e-track from pulling across the walls. Thanks for the help everyone.

Well, I sell E-Track and have installed it in several trucks and also in my own trailer. I just used some #12 self tapping screws and you just make sure the holes line up with the wall supports. If one hole lines up then they all will. I made sure there were screws in each wall support and then I also put a couple in the holes in between the supports. It will hold just fine just be careful if you are using a ratchet strap...
Bolting it in is the strongest way to do it but most people don't want to drill holes in their trucks and trailers. If you don't have the plywood walls then you can just rivet it to the wall supports but then you have to drill each individual hole......
I can get you guys good prices on 5' and 10' sections....
I also have the straps and load bars that clip into the track. I have the woodbeam sockets too where you use a 2x4 or 2x6 and make your own load bar.....
