banks

I have a 2003 Cummins which I am suprised I would like as much as I do ,great power and everything ( first diesel). Friends are saying look into a banks system or a chip. I only pull our TT 5 times a year 5000 empty and dont know what these things really are, how they work ,what they cost, and are they really worth it? ANYTHING would help...Thanks Dave

Dansdad, Congrats on your truck!!! With what your towing, you don't need any mods. But, if you desire to go with a chip or anything else, I would stay away from Banks. They are overpriced. There are many different brands of products that are much cheeper and do a better job than the Banks system. I'm not going to start a brand war, so do your research, read the many posts on this board and make your own decision. I would recommend a set of gauges to monitor what your Cummings is doing. Other than that, the sky is the limit all depending how deep your checkbook is. Enjoy... Big dawg 8)

Welcome Dave, Before you write that check to Bank$, hang around and check out the sig lines under everyone's posts. You'll see very few Bank$ customers.

More power can be had for less $$$. ;D Ed

I would break in that engine and keep an eye on things as there will be more and more stuff for your truck. Remember one thing...One BOMB is never enough. You are still safe but not for loooooooooong. ;D

dansdad: Welcome to the website! I agree with what the other members have already told you concerning the Banks Products. Look at the "signatures" of the majority of the members here and on the other Dodge Diesel Websites. The 03' Dodge Cummins Trucks are new and the majority of the manafacturers are working hard to get their fueling boxes, injectors, turbos and air systems out. Stick with the proven leaders on the fueling boxes like TST Products, Edge, Blue Chip to name a few. And once you start "BOMBING",.........hang on cause you will only want more! ;D Good luck! -------- John_P
