I couldn't hear what she said, guys, but I'll take your word for it. It seems there was this train horn going at the time, but no train or tracks anywhere!

PS: Let's try to organize another such get-together. Does anyone know of a bigger car/truck event we could crash?

I was thinking of organizing a dyno day somewhere... There's a place around that has a mobile dyno for a reasonable price ($125 per hour). Not sure where it could be held though...

I saw you post this on the other forum, didn't reply 'cause I didin't pay for that feature..... I am curious to know what is causing the high rate of rear tire wear and would like to see what others are puttin down as well, a good place to do it is the question. Just showin up and running something like that might cause a problem the way everyone is so liability crazy around here. Too bad Grizzly off road center is too small for something like this, autowerks diesel is too small gonna have to find a spot like the abandoned ap up in wycoff with so much going on that a lil dyno will get lost.... open to all but we get in line first of course. might have to think of aplace with a big lot car/ truck oriented, pep boys or something ike that..... Wait, pepboys jersey city has a huge lot..... any other thoughs on a big lot? there is STS in west orange with a big lot. we should find something good for all.

I was thinking that it would probably have to be on private property because of the liability issues. Maybe a church parking lot or something. No idea really though! I'll think about it though.

can ask the folks that own the portable dyno also if they have insurance for anything....... or we could try calling one of these paces and see if they are still in business and if they would host a night for us http://www.smokemup.com/utils/dyno_results.php although I would love to see the looks on the faces of the ricers ath the g2g at Hooters when we show up and do a few dyno runs.

Why not use the Chatterbox Drive In up here in Sussex County. We had our DTW GTG here this spring. Just call up the owner Don and tell him what you want to do and he will check the schedule and let you know. There is no charge to use his property. They are located at route 15 and route 206 by Skylands Ballpark.

theextricator - free is always good. I will give him a call maybe although that is a bit "out there"

I noticed a sign at a VFW that they rent the hall/parking lot out. That might work. The one I was looking at is in Franklin Lakes right off of route 287 so it'd be nice and easy to get to for all.

The amount of money we need to put it together is really not much. I think it'd be 12 people (the dyno guy said 2 diesel trucks per hour, possibly more but they'll definitely do 2 -- gotta hook up that annoying optical sensor for the RPMs I guess), which is $62.50 per person * 6 hours minimum for North Jersey. Possibly 8 hour minumum (8 seems like a lot though).

If I did this I'd probably try to get 12 guys to commit to it by putting down $60 up front just so I wouldn't lose money. I know for me $60 for 3 pulls on adyno is $40-$60 cheaper than most any other place in NJ is willing do to if you were to just show up at their shop.
