I wish I would have seen this thread earlier. I would have met up with you guys. I belong to DTW NJ chapter and we usually have some great GTG's. Let me know when you guys are meeting up again and I will see if I can make it.

Tony yes it's a Jetta TDI. I like the older Non "pump deusse" models better. I think the Pump deusse came out in 03 or 04. The older ones seem to get better mileage (or maybe only because they are more broken in by now). They also can take regular old Mobil 1 (doesn't require the $6-7 per quart special VW only oil). I would also geta manual transmission to get the full benefit. My 02 5spd golf got 55 MPG on the highway. Either way, I think its a good car and gets amazing mileage.

So what gives njoverkill. I thought you just moved to Arizona. Why the sudden move? Aside from getting your truck stolen right after getting there. I moved to a place I wasn't aclimated to, but it took me 5 yrs to get out.

Ahh well - It was just over a year. My girlfriend now fiance wanted to be home near family and friends which is where my family and friends are too so it was a pretty easy choice to make. Also while I don't really care, I think she finds the people in AZ a little "different" and had a hard time adjusting. I would've stayed out in AZ and saved up for another year or two but this was good too... it's nice to be back. Movin is tough though and it gets tougher as you collect more junk I hope to only do that a few more times in my life. The rent here is almost 2X as much. Fuel is a little less (even after the post-Katrina hikes), food seems to be cheaper (less shipping costs?)... and the pay is the same for now as I am still working for my Phoenix based company!

well that wasn't bad, three showed up, one extra happened along and we sure left a nice haze when we all left. Had a nice chance to hear a B1 bark.... I guess when 17 S. bound is a bit backed up isn't the best time to haul but outa the lot when ya gotta hit the whoa peddle so fast, don't think Pete's B1 liked that very much. We left around 8 :40, the Hooters girls stopped hula hoppin around 8 and after that it kinda died off for some strange reason..... the best part of the night was the one Blonde Hooters chic with the mic yelling that they had " hot beer and cold wings inside, come and get 'em" someone had to go tell her she had it backwards
