Aux Tank

I have been looking for a Aux Tank that will fit under a retrax bed cover on a short bed with a 5th wheel hitch. Looks like 19 inches tall is the max and needs to allow room for the retrax roll in front. I guess this will be a custom tank, however I don't know why since there are a number of roll type covers out there. Any tank shops up to the task?

Actually, if you read the article, they are specifically made for short beds. It's a two-tank system. One tank to replace the OEM that adds 10 to 15 gallons and another [donut] tank that mounts above the spare tire (dropping the spare tire about 6 inches).

Aerotanks looks good to me. I would eventually like to replace my OEM tank with one of theirs to extend my towing range. Actually putting fuel in the tank would then become pretty expensive at 50 or 60 gallons at a time.

RDS from Northern Tools. Very good tanks at a very good price. Get the one designed for fifth wheels - - it will be below your bed rails.

I have the electric Pace Edwards retractable tonneau cover. A pickup specialty shop named West Texas Off Road custom ordered an L-shaped 37-gallon tank that fits under the retractable cover box, and then the L comes up with the fuel gauge and filler cap on top. There is just enough room to put the pins through the Fifth-Wheel Hitch. It is a gravity flow, and I just manually open the valve when the main tank is getting low. When filling it, I close the valve, and then fill both tanks to the top. If you leave the valve open all the time, it may drip slightly through the overflow.
