Air ride on my truck

I've been surfing the web for an air ride kit for my 1997 ram 3500 CTD. Does anyone know of anyone running air ride on their truck and witch kit they are using. I was looking at Air bag it website and like their kit.

http://kelderman.com/ is the only one I've heard of. Lots of money for air ride kits.

Kelderman is the way to go if you want all around air ride. If it's just the rears, Firestone bags are also good but the rest of the kit is garbage. You might also want to look at Air Lift to see what they might have for you.

Air ride manufacturers Air Lift, Air Ride Technologies, Airbagit, Kelderman are the one s I am aware of. Accuair makes air ride automatic level controllers which I use. From experience, I found out that the largest diameter air bags that can be fitted into the available space is very beneficial. Larger diameter air bags will support more weight and require less air pressure for a smoother ride; air compressors do not work as hard to keep proper ride height and pressure. Shocks will need a lot of rebound resistance to control bounce, adjustables allow you to tune your ride; I use Rancho RS 9000XL. I installed Air Ride Technologies kits front and rear. I had to modify the rear for 9” diameter bags; front as shipped would not hold up the weight of the Cummins without excessive pressure, so I modified the front extensively to use 9” bags.

I have a 2WD dually 3500 that is lowered about 4” at normal ride height. I have run my present setup 4 or 5 years and regularly tow a 10,000-12,000# bumper pull trailer.

I have the Firestone bags and the AirLift WIRELESS Air kit. The in cab valves and dual needle gauge from the Firestone kit died on me on the good side of the one year warranty, so I put all new stuff in. Another 10 or 11 months later, same issue with the dual needle gauge leaking but since it was out of warranty I went with the electronics from the AirLift kit.

If you run a larger tank you'll need a pressure regulator because the bags don't like more than 85 PSI, but if it's just the compressor then wire it up and go.
