5th wheel hitch & the rubber bed liner?!
5th wheel hitch & the rubber bed liner?!
I bought this beautiful rubber mat for my truck bed, which includes a nice ram embossing. The problem will be the installation of the 5th wheel hitch?!?!
Question: What would you do? Cut holes or it? Help

Re:5th wheel hitch & the rubber bed liner?!
you should cut the rubber mat around the hitch. it would be impossible to get a proper mount of the hitch when trying to mount on top of a bed liner
Re:5th wheel hitch & the rubber bed liner?!
Doug,
If its a Reese hitch, the Ram emblem should wind up right between the hitch rails. Just cut the slots for the rails and set the mat on the bed.

Re:5th wheel hitch & the rubber bed liner?!
The 5er hitch rails must be mounted directly against the truck bed. The bolts must be torqued to proper specifications of the hitch manufacturer. Sorry but you will need to cut the mat. This poses another problem. Because of wind turbulance, the wind will lift the rear portions of the mat if it isn't weighted down. I decided that a spray-in liner was an easier solution. The rails can be mounted over the spray-in liner.
