40's and towing
40's and towing
It looks like it has been a few years since this has been brought up.
Anyone doing any towing with 40" tires? Regular "bumper" hitch not gooseneck or 5th wheel. This would not be everyday, just occasional (3-4 times a year) but maybe up to 1,300 miles once a year to get to Michigan. I am thinkng a air lift style might allow the truck to sit reasonably/sort of low when towing a bumper pull car trailer.
I wouldn't consider it if I was pulling something all the time.

Rich-
Yes, there are drop hitches. I was saying bumper pull to indicate I won't be doing any 5th or gooseneck towing.
As it turns out the used truck I saw only has air ride in the rear and a fixed front. It stands too tall for everyday use and for the money they want it would have to meet everything I need/want. So I guess my original question is for nothing, at this point.
