Unfortunately , insurance costs and operating authority make it almost impossible to make a profit using your truck to pick up a few dollars from time to time . Be careful pulling people out of ditches . Causing even minor damage will cost you considerably . They might even try to blame you for damage you didn't cause .

I pulled a ricer out of ditch a few years back during an icestorm with my '98...
a big F**d was already hooked, but he couldn't drag him out of the ditch; the car was sideways and the nose was buried, so it was a tough pull, I guess.
Anyway, I told him it might damage something to pull him out sideways like that, but he said it didn't matter - he had to get it out of there. When I hit the throttle the strap ripped off the front bumper and stripped the front tire right off the rim - glad I let him do his own hook-up!
Back on the road, he thanked me and said he'd take it from there - with the bumper hanging and the tire jammed into the suspension...

He is giving it to his kids, I guess shipping it is worth it to him

At any rate, I picked up the furniture last night, along with $583.00 cash up front.

I figure $100.00 in fuel worse case, a couple big macs, tolls, should stand to make about $425.00, not bad for an 8 hour day.

He's happy, Im happy, leaving in the morning

Tom
