Almost 2 months without a post. wow. I finally got my truck from putting the motor in a messin around with a few other things. Run it up and down the road a bit and got ready to bring it home and the tranny screwed up again. Locking in gear mainly reverse. Not wanting to go into gear or come out once its in. So it went back to the shop that rebuilt it again. Ready to get it back though. If its done my end up hooking it in Lynnville at the end of this month.

I guess I ought to jump in here and say "Hi!" while I can.

I've been subscribed to this topic for over 4 years, but since I live in the Memphis area I've never participated in any events and haven't posted much. But I read all the replies.

"while I can" .... because I traded my ole 99 for a new Duramax last June, so I'm letting my TDR subscription expire. I'll probably still monitor the topics I'm already subscribed to, but I won't be able to reply. (I think I'm on "borrowed time" for posting now).

I may not be on here, but I'm easily found - just search the net for "ProspectorTim". I'm everywhere!

Hey deereguy when is the pull at Lynnville? I went down to Pulaski this week and they had a sign out in Campbellsville said there was a truck/tractor pull on May 8th. Don't know anything about that one though, might have to give Chase a call, seems like it's on a Dunavent farm if I remember right

I got on the apprentice wait list for one of the Unions so just waiting for the work load to pick up so they can get me and the guy in front of me going. How'd your job test go? You out working and paying Obam'r again! LoL!! We'll have to meet up at the Lynnville thing if you guys are gonna be out there. Hope to be around for that one, really enjoy the Lynnville pulls.

Hey Dodgeguy the pull in Lynnville is the 24th of this month. Trucks are suppose to start at 6. It will be a little bit different this time. The truck class with have to run a set of runs the the orgin. in Mississippi runs. Not real sure how that part is going to go. Dunavents pull is the one at Michael Pauls house. I don't know a time on it though.

I didn't get the job at the plant dad works at. I did get me a new job though. I work for a Helena Chemical Co. now. Been there a lil over a month. Doin that and still got the lawncare and landscaping bussiness on the side and farming a lil and working on trucks too.

Guess I should have waited a couple more weeks, then we could have a post a month!!

September 11th, hope to be there. Missed this last round cause of rain. Seems to be the norm every year though, at least most of the time.

Everyone make it through the floods alright? We're good here. Had about another 950 feet or so before the water reached us. Don't go up highway 50 towards Centerville....closed, Highway 7 out of Columbia closed at Sante Fe with a detour through Santa Fe. Went into Centerville last night and noticed the new record high water mark on the Catfish joints sign. I think the whole place was under water! I ate there once with the guys from the gas company, good food.

Well, if I'm here in September guess I'll see you guys out there in Lynnville.

Well dodgeguy we made it to a post a month this time. I was talking to a buddy of mine today and he said some guys he works with were talking about a Cumiins plant being built in nashville. Have any of ya'll heard anything about this? I haven't had a chance to look much yet. Don't know any real details on it other than just the hear say of one being built.

Hey Tim, this is the free site, just help support Lary by using his store to purchase the upgrade stuff and support the site. How's the Memphis area doing, same as the rest of the country I suppose.

Deereguy, I saw something on the news the other day about a Cummins call center coming to Nashville. I forget where it was exactly but think they said 200 jobs were being relocated here from.........somewhere. Not sure what they were looking for, seems like I saw it on channel 5 in the morning last week.

Wish somebody would give this economy a kick in the ****!! This is beginning to suck badly. Good new is it seems as though the insurance companies are doing well. I keep getting this nagging email from one telling me I'm perfect for a position with them selling insurance. That's probably not a hard gig right? Your in a flood zone, I'll sell you this, for this much or maybe, you want that peace of mind when your gone, leave this large sum of money for your children. Pretty much sells itself huh?
