What is happening with the thread count???

I know I have been gone a lot, but what has happened with thread counts? A month or so ago I was over 2000 - - suddenly today I am at 1800.

Yep, if you're gone and don't post regularly, the database seals and gaskets dry up and the posts leak out. Actually, I think that they installed some new software that doesn't count our old posts in some of the non-diesel forums. It happened to everyone.

Hey, welcome back! By the way, whatever happened to Scotty's Speedos?

Ya, I heard it was something to do with not counting any of the posts in the "OTHER" forum.

posts in the "other" section arent supposed to be counted, though some were. when mr. thorpe reworked some of the site, all the "other" posts that were counted, were un-counted. i lost about 50 posts. others, like bigblue, lost about 1300 posts

Yup, long ago before we used vBulletin, we use yaBBse. Posts made in the other forum during the yaBBse time counted and stayed with the member when we migrated to vBulletin. Recently Jack fixed that so all old post that at one time counted, don't count anymore.

I think it has to do with the age limit. Once you get beyond a certain point they start deducting from your post count numbers. Obviously you have reached that point.

Yeh, but with age comes wisdom. I obviously have not reached "THAT" old - - - yet. At least I don't have a concrete bed liner.

I finally got him to admit he had left them at my house last year - - he came by and claimed them. And, that pink one ain't mine, contrary to popular belief - - that is definitely Scotty's - - it would fall off my little rear end - - not that he has a big one, but - - - oh well, I better shut up before I get in trouble with the big guy. Don't want him mad at me - - no way.

What can I say? I'm fried between my ears.

It's kind of like, "Huh...concrete bedliner. Who'd a thunk it? What will he think of next??"

Yeah,,,, I have to look out for my old buddy Shane,,,,, sometimes he forgets to take his meds and then the nurses find him wandering around the sanatorium grounds with nothing on but a tin-foil hat.

Old guys in speedo's. Must be a texas thing. Dont do that here in washington. thank god. I would have to move to montana or something. No wait, they make sheep wear speedos there. Dang.

I also noticed that the postings are showing who posted last again, even if it is me as the last poster. that changed 2 weeks ago, now it's back? I love change. Keeps me on my toes.
