First of all I have a suggestion. This may have been thought about, tried, or may even be in development for all I know. But I was thinking it would be cool to have a way to search for members near you. Maybe by zip code or something. I'm not talking about anything to invade someone's privacy by having them enter their address, but their zip code would be safe. It would not have to be required either. I am in Dallas right now and I am blown away how many guys talk to me at the pump about my truck. In New Orleans, where I live, the guys running diesels have no knowledge of what they are driving. Anyway, it would be nice to be able to find enthusiasts near where I live.

Also, I had asked in the past about e-mail on this site. How is that coming, or is it dead?

 

I agree that knowing where members are from would be a great benefit to us in many ways, unfortunately many people never even bother to list what State or Country they live in when they fill out their profiles.

If they don't list it, we are pretty much left in the dark on that info.

Email is not something we are currently looking at, but that doesn't mean it may not happen in the future

 

Personally, I like the idea of close contacts. I have used the information posted on the profiles to contact a number of members with good results. Any and all are welcome to come by and tell me what I should next do to my truck and tell me what I did wrong the last time
