Sponsored Links in New Window

Can the resident Web guy change the "Sponsored" links to open in a new window? I hate losing my place on the forum when I click on a link.

Thanks guys

That should be something you can change in your browser settings...

Since you said window I'm gonna guess you are using IE? I use Opera, my wife uses Firefow, both can be set to open links in new tabs. As well as many other benifits...

But I don't want to do that (heavy Firefox user)

I would like the link to have the proper settings to open in its own window

Tools>Options>Tab Options

And you can always right click on the link and tell it where to open it...

That setting can be done by you in Firefox. Simply go to "tools" at the top of the page then "options" and then "tabs" Then check the box that say's "open links from other applications in a new window."

But I don't want to do that I don't want it as a Global setting.

Alright, alright, you win, you can keep your "open in Parent Window" link. I'll force it (not via those options though) to open in a new window BUT I WON'T LIKE IT!

LOL - This is no way we can change the Blue banners to open a new window. Since they come from Google Adsnese, they dictate how the links are opened. Our own banner system does open the site in a new window.

Right clicking is just as easy as left clicking. Where as hitting shift is extra work... I right click like 9 million times a day. I hate using my brothers iBook. One stinking button.

If the laptop has a cat's tongue/pencil eraser mouse in the middle of the keyboard, those I like, you can quickly do your thing. I just don't like having to have to

1. Initiate sequence to execute mouse "click"
2. Lift arm off of keyboard
3. Redirect arm to mouse location
4. Embrace mouse
5. Confirm mouse is engaged properly within hand
6. Depress corresponding mouse button and/or manipulate mouse cursor location
7. Confirm functionality of desired action/reaction
8. Return hand to keyboard

See man...that's a lot of work....and it could ALL be fixed just by fixing those links
