Oil Change Promotion (Dealer or DCX sponsored)?

Got a letter the other day from my local Dodge dealer. It states that every oil/filter change includes 120 days of nationwide roadside assistance (towing, 2 occurences up to $75, lockout service, delivery of fuel, jump start, flat tire change), road hazard tire protection (tire repair up to $20, Tire replacement up to $150), rental car coverage (1 day, $30 if mechanical breakdown that requires you to be towed). The letter says Drive-Sure with a trademark symbol in the fine print.
Sounds good, and oil change prices are still the same as they were.

Anyone else get a letter like this from their dealer? Is this a dealer specific thing or a DCX thing?

don't turn this into a "why do you take your truck to the dealer" thread

Rob I got the same letter you did. I don't know if this is a nationwide thing, or just McKinney Dodge. I pretty much ignored it, but ate the jelly beans..LOL.

I prefer to do my own maintenance........just for my own peace of mind. But, it sounds like it might be a good deal if you prefer to take it in for service. I'd be curious to know if they are serious.

This reminds me of a letter I got in the mail... I swear to God it had a REAL $1 bill in it. I took the money and tossed out the letter without reading it

Got my oil changed at the dealer yesterday. The sticker they put in the window to remind you of your next change has an account number on it and a 1-800 number to call. You have to take the account number and go to drivesure.com and enter the account number and create a PIN. More info is available at the drivesure website. Oil change price didn't go up from the last time, about $47.99

Rob,

Are you saying that they are now providing you with road breakdown assistance since you got the oil changed with them? And, as long as you get your truck serviced there every 120 days or less they will keep covering you for a road breakdown? If so that is pretty cool idea! I am still going to change my own oil, but I think that is a neat offer for them to provide that. Do you know yet if it is only McKinney Dodge or nationwide? Charlie may be interested in that too if the Sherman Dodge Dealer doesn't offer it.

Yep, the dealer (through drivesure.com) provides it for 120 days from your last oil change. It is a dealer specific thing. Not all dealers do it and the ones that do can choose to provide it for different time periods from your last change.
