When i log on to th site, it takes me to the forums, all is good. Then i go and click on the MAIN PAGE link, up there^^^^ and it automatically logs me out, then the main page comes up and says Hello Visitor. i was wondeing if anyone else was having this problem. i have tried it on 4 different computers and it does the same thing, so i know its not my computer. any suggestions would be appreciated, so i dont have to keep typing my name in. thanks in advance.

I'm not having that problem, but are you sure that your browser is refreshing that page? Next time it happens,,,,,, try clicking on the refresh button and see what happens. You might want to check your browser settings for Temporary Internet files and make sure it is set to check for newer versions of stored pages Every visit to the page.

You may want to check and see that your cookies are enabled also.

i checked the cookies, they ARE enabled, also ive tried it on 4 different computers, with different internet setups, still the same prob. i dont know its just a PITA!!

That's weird,,,,,,,,, I'm at a loss for any other solutions, but then again, I'm not real good at this technical puter stuff. I've threatened mine with a BIG hammer a few times!
Maybe Jack Thorpe can give you some more info when he gets a chance to respond, (He's been real busy lately, so hang on,,,,, I'm sure he will try to give you some feedback shortly)

 

If you're using Dodge-Diesel.org, don't use it. You should be using dieseltruckresource.com

If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll do some other stuff. I have a feeling that one of the changes I made last week may be causing this.

 

The only difference I have noticed in the last few days is when I come to DTR.com I can't view new posts from that page, I have to go to home or forum page before it will let me view the new posts. Strange, but not a big deal for me, may help you find your problem with other members...............

 

i am also having the same problem with getting logged out .. ...tried 2 different computers.this is starting to affect my fix.... ..... ......

 

Me too I tryed 3 different computers and they all log me out. I first noticed it on 3/27/04

 

I just found another problem.

I log in on the main site, as usual.

Try going to Member Photos, and it say's I'm not logged in, and to log in at the main page.

Click on that, log in again, they try Member Photo's again, and it say's again that I'm not logged in.

Tried clearing cookies, nope.
Tried emptying cache, nope.

Even tried opening in a new window (as I usually do) and again, it say's I'm not logged in.

Is this related?

It's related. I'm trying to figure out which one of my changes screwed it up.

 

I think I just figured it out. I fat figured the url in one of my little mods that I do now and then. Instead of www.dieseltruckresource.com, I had wwww.dieseltruckresource.com, like a moron. ARGH!

This should fix it. Let me know if you guys keep having problems.
