When I edit my sig, and delete a few things it still tells me that it has too many characters. Also now the font is smaller. Is that somthing I did, or was it magic?

 

Sig is far too large. Your sig should rarely be larger than the post you are making.

 

Jack reduced the number of characters you could have in a sig.
If you left it alone, it would stay (grandfathered).
If you change it, the new limit takes effect.

1/2 page sigs are a pain.
You spend more time scrolling down the page past everyone's life history than you do reading new information.
I'm waiting for the "sig only shows on the 1st post of a page" hack to come back.
