background images

What am I doing wrong? I click on the "insert image" and enter the entire address for the picture but nothing comes up, just that annoying little X

That x might mean the image is too big. Not really sure, but it has happened to me when I attempted to put in a image, but I figured operator error.

You can't link images from within a flash presentation. And it does seem that the full sized pics are too large to display via image tags.

Let's try a smaller size..



Bingo...

Now, you'll see on the right side of the page, a link that says "Other sizes". I clicked that, selected 425, and it will give you the code you need to use with the img tag.

My computer at work still blocks the image because of where they have their filters set. They also block other sites like youtube and all you get is a Security message that reads;
Sites may be filtered because of inappropriate content, excessive bandwidth utilization, or other out-of-policy considerations.
and all you see is the little red X.
