I would have just pm'd a moderator if I knew who it was but I don't know edited THIS THREAD

Anyway, it seems a members (it appears that member may have been deleted from this board altogether?) posts along with SEVERAL of mine were deleted in this thread....I was wondering why? Was there something inappropriate? No contact was ever made with me regarding any potential problems with my posts....

It isn't a big deal.....I'm just curious. There was a debate within the thread but as near as I can recall, it stayed within the boundries of the forum rules.

There really isn't a need to discuss this issue in a public forum if it is deemd inappropriate by any of the mods - I don't mind either way....I was just hoping the moderator that did the editing could PM me to let me know what happened since I don't believe I did anything wrong. Please correct me if my assumptions are wrong.

Looks like Shovelhead fixed the first post.

 

I went back through the thread and found 6 deletions. They all were by the same user, not you, and all deleted by the user. There were also 2 admin edits, that was it.

 

If you're refering to several posts by dltriolo ,
They were self deleted as it looks like ALL of them were duplicates of the same post.
Must have been a rip in the Space-Time continuum.

There were two threads going at almost the exact same time about pretty much the same subject that I completely mixed up.

THIS was the other thread I was confusing it with.....of which there does not appear to be any editing like I suggested.

So, NEVERMIND! I will shut up now.

I'll chalk it up to my "brain fart of the week".

On that subject though,
if there is a questionable post, and it gets edited or deleted by a moderator,
often we'll also edit/delete any subsequent posts referring to the edits/deletions,
helps alleviate confusion that arrises when replies are made to posts that no longer exist.

Funny thing is, most of his posts seem to work just about anywhere regardless of the thread content

This is why edits are allowed for 15 minutes on my site and posts are locked after that. A member having a hissy fit and deleting posts tends to muck things up in a thread.
