Search function??
Search function??
I have been trying to use the search function for several questions I have , but everytime I search it comes up as a "fatal error" and a brief explanation of computer jiberish. Is this a problem with the site or is my computer messed up?
I've had this issue yesterday and today...tried 2 computers, 2 different browsers, even tried from another location ans when I search I get:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 50331648 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1024 bytes) in /opt/www/html/dev/search.php on line 884.
I've never had a problem here, keep up the great work, I'm sure there's a bug in there somewhere.

You need to break down your search a bit. I have it limited and it does that by design when you're using too general of a term. In other words, you're searching for something that is getting too many results and in order to preserve the integrity of the server, I'm giving you an error vs. wasting valuable mysql time locking tables and threads. When that happens, it forces everyone else to wait until your search is finished.
So, try narrowing down your search and using a less general term. You should have much better luck.

Leadville Colorado eh? I'm originally from Breckenridge. I haven't been to leadville in a long time but my mom was a deputy in summit, along with someone named Wendy Webster. She was killed in a car wreck in 1990. Her dad is from there, too. His name is Gordon Webster. Do you happen to know any of them by chance? Don't know how long you've been there but I thought I would ask. Small World.
I haven't heard of them...I feel like the mayor around here sometimes though. I do know a George Webster...old timer, multi-generational local, might be related. They used to own a gravel pit around here.

They might be related, I'm not sure. It's been a long time since I've been there but used to go there all the time. Hey I heard they were opening the mine back up. Is there any truth to that?
They were, then moly prices dropped, so they postponed it. After many millions in new construction. At least it will increase the assesed tax base for the equipment and buildings they put up. This county has been trying to play catch up since the last closing in the early 90's. Luckily, tourism and heavy internal promotion has helped us make our way without the mine. It would be icing on the cake if they open.
