Is there anything that can be done about the items in the classifieds that have been sold months ago and all the items that have already been sold for that matter. It seems like 30 or 40% of the items within the classifieds have already been sold.
Also if it's just a matter of someone periodically scanning through and deleting them, I would be glad to if that is the issue.
This gets old and I think would be a improvement for the site.

The items that have been marked "sold" by the seller stay on the system for three days, and then they are purged automatically. The ones you're seeing have been sold less than 72 hours before you viewed them.

 

i think mountaineer is saying that some people ( i'm guilty too ) leave items listed in the classifieds that have been sold, but they have forgot to mark them as "sold". then when you contact them about it, they say its been sold.....get what i'm sayin?

 

I gotcha. Well, if they don't mark them as sold, there really isn't anything I can do about that. It's up the seller to make sure they mark them as sold or delete their ads when it's sold. I can only encourage them in some way to do so.

 

Ok, then the seller's are not doing that. Maybe there is some way we can report to someone on those items which have already been sold for them to delete. There could be like the Report Post button but would be the Report Item button.
