Profanity and the use of *@# symbols and abbrevations in posts
Bring this back to the front as we seem to be slipping again in our postings folks.

We have again noticed an increase in the use of symbols such as #@% to replace letters in certain words, and abbrevations that are not needed in our posts here at DTR.
The use of bad language is not necessary nor appreciated by a large majority of the members and Staff here at DTR. As adults we should be able to express ourselves intelligently without the frequent use of profanity in relating to each other.
By using such symbols or characters, it does not change the meaning of the word, and it bypasses the built in software that helps delete offensive language.
This is in effect a show of a lack of respect for your fellow members here at DTR. Please refrain from posting offensive material, so that we can all enjoy this site.
Thank You,
Lary
