Posting Bugs?

Are you guys aware of the problems in the posting page? It has all this weird behavior that can only be explained by oops in the code.
1. The smileys get inserted at the end of th epost, nno matter where your cursor is.
2. Used to be you could highlight what you wanted to make bold or chaneg the size of, or other formatting, now it prompts you to enter the text, and then it puts it at the end of the post, regardless of where the cursor is.
3. I was trying to go back up and proof read a post I was working on and the cursor went to the bottom of the post when I clicked either the up or down button on the scroll bar. I put the cursor back in the middle of the post and hit an up button and the cursor went back to the end of the post, and the post scrolled to where the cursor was, so I was unable to go back up and edit my post. I finally found if I clicked and dragged the scroll bar to where I wanted I could place the cursor and edit the post, but this is very annoying, and many members may no know how to do what I did.

If you need more info on any of these problems, please let me know. I want them fixed and will be glad to point them out better if need be.

Is there any other way to get to PMs besides the PM section at the bottom of the Forums tables of contents? I used to be able to get there from most any page because there was a link at the top. It was also handy at the top because I could see immediately if I had a new PM.

All normal behavior for this software. Nothing i can do about it at the moment. As for the pm's, there is really no way for me to do that either. You can always access them via the user control panel as well.

Yeah Ed, that's pretty much always been there. I want to check my own PMs.

User cp is your best bet for now. There will be some tweaks here and there, but for the most part, the software is what it is. I know that's not the answer some folks want, but the benefits have so far hugely outweighed the negatives. I thought for sure we were going to need a new server because the old software was slowing down so bad. This software alone improved the speed 90%, and now I am refocusing the donation money on improving the photo section, classifieds, chat, and of course, we're going to add a product review section that I think you guys will really like.

Thumbs up I still like vBulletin better,,,,,

I think the biggest deal is just getting accustom to moving around in vB. Even on the old board, things had changed for one reason or another and some of the tags quit working like they did at first. Some of us that post more often on the websites that use vBulletin have already seen how it differs from the YaBB that we were using. It would be nice to have the best of both, but since we can't,,,,,, I still like the vBulletin better.
