Papa Smurf,
Have you ever tried Silicone spray??? Ive used it on my bumpers and the bugs wash right off. I dont think it should do any harm to your fiberglass.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

If ya hook it up from the rear and pull it backwards,,,,,,,, the front will stay clean of bugs. :

I think my Dad uses a silicone spray or something like Armor-All. I have read of some folks using Pam cooking spray (I think I read that in one of the RV forums,,,,,)
When ya find something that works Chris,,,,,, let me know what it is. ;D
And,,,,,,, BTW,,,,,,,, I haven't tried the Pulling-It-Backwards trick yet,,,,,,

Haven't tried this yet...
Wash the trailer REAL good then go over it with a coat of Mop and Glow. Supposed to help with teh black streaks also.

Boat Wax for Gelcoat amazingly thats what most front caps on 5th wheels are made of, stops oxidizing and makes the Gelcoat shiny and slippery. PK

Any kind of spray product on the front of the trailer will atract
all the road dirt and the bugs. Trailer will be brown on the windward side. As mentioned above, if you GelCoat is still in tact, some good wax such as 3M Marine Wax will certainly help
when it comes time to scrub. Except for having a Bra made for the trailer frontal area, I know of nothing that will get them off.
What really is good for getting them off once you covered is a
quick spray of Camco Black Streak Remover. Let sit for a couple minutes and you can almost wash them off. Just a light brush scrubbing is necessary. Caution; if you use the Camco stuff full strength, it will remove the wax and leave streaks in the surface. They will wax out.

Using the Mop & Glo ... works fine as long as you keep up on it. The Mop & Glo folks make a stripper, that you can use 1st. The product kind of streaks when you sponge it on, but you just go over it a couple times & all is fine. Saves a lot of elbow grease.

Degreaser and a pressure washer! ;D Then re-wax :- I need to try some of that fiberglass wax. I've always used car wax, and it doesent do as well for the end caps.

I use a spray called Bug Off. apply it AFTER you've cleaned the front cap and it will make the next time much easier. Just spray on after each cleaning.
Or tow it backwards
. I was going to suggsest thst but somebody else beat me to the obvious

When I wash my front cap I use a a quality RV wash such as Thetford,Premium RV Wash, which is designed to remove bugs and streaks from gel-coat without harming decals.
I apply the the wash with a "micro-fiber cloth". If you have never heard of a "micro-fiber cloth" (aka miracle cloth), ask your wife/sig other.
If she doesn't know, go to the local fine kitchen shop, they should carry them. The local flea market also carries them.
It is a highly absorbant polyester synthetic fiber.

Thanks for the well thought out comments.
I never thought of the tow it bacwards thing
that was just to much. Even though it does sound like somthing I would tell someone 8) 8).
I read about the PAM thing before but I couldn't help but think about all the non bug things that could/might stick to it with PAM on the front.
From all the comments on this post this is what I learned.
1. Clean the nose with a good cleaner and then wax it with a RV/Boat wax.
2. If it is easy it most likely will not work and the De-bugger stuff will make more of a mess than the bugs them selves.
Thanks for all the thoughts and un thoughts on this subject.
