Post time(s) discrepancies

I just noticed that the posting times don't correlate. I just refreshed my screen to see that Top made a post today in the Watercooler thread at 8:57:29 and according to my computer/clock/wrist watch/Verizon phone, it was 8:17. Why is it 40 minutes off?

I could see being an hour off due to profile settings, but not fractions of an hour.

Re:Post time(s) discrepancies

I noticed after the server change my times were off an hour, I had to go into my profile and change my time setback to correct the problem.

I don't know why it did that, but it is in hour increments, that does not explain the 40 minute difference. Sometimes I will start a post and some DTR business comes up before I can post it. I may be on the phone for awhile and then finish the post.

I think this would lead to the post showing the time I started the post, and not be an accurate showing of the actual time I finished it.

Working multiple windows at the same time, monitoring the site can often lead to this happening.

Let me know if you seem to notice this on a regular basis and I will look into it.

Your computer was probably trying to compensate for Top's very slow typing ability.
Top must have had his Geritol that time and didn't take as long. : ;D

I'm going to see what this post time is.

Re:Post time(s) discrepancies

The one above just showed an hour ahead exactly. Guess I need to adjust my offset.

ON EDIT: I just set mine to -5 and it is now correct. I don't know why it would be off 40 minutes,,,,,,,,,, except for the T.O.T.O............."Top Only Typing Offset"

test, its 1018 local.

On edit: Welllllll, it was probably the nut behind the wheel. For some reason, after the last website modifications I changed timezones. Not sure about the hourly fractions thing.

Back to cookin' with gas (or is that #2?)
