PM notification

Don’t expect there is a solution except to tell me to get glasses but: I get so few PM's that I never notice when I have one. The one before last sat there for weeks until I happened to look in that corner. Perhaps when you have a PM it could glow or deliver an electric shock? Remember, you asked for suggestions! Please don’t hurt me---

We already have features like that available but you have them turned off.
Go to "user cp" at the upper left of your screen, then select "edit options" from the menu on the left. Scroll down to the "messaging and notifications" section and check the last two options.
