My Thread, it Went Poof an it was Gone

I am assuming that my horse thread in the Other section was being considered an advertisement but I thought I remembered seeing adds in here all the time for people looking for things, granted usually it's trailers or truck parts but that's why I put it in the Other site. More power to you all mods, not even trying to suggest a problem here just wanting to clarify so that I can post it in a different manner and be legal. There is alot of knowledge on this site in other than just trucks that I would like to be able to take advantage of if possible. But if it's not possible this is still the best site going.

Is it legal to put a thread in the Other section referencing this ad just so somebody will see it. This just isn't the typical place for anybody to look for that kind of stuff. In the recent past I submitted a post looking for a source for new injectors and had a half dozen vendors reply to it, was I wrong in that thread. Not trying to test anybody here, just wanna make sure I understand the difference for future referance.

No, that is not legal. Ads go into the classified section only. No ad or reference to any ad is allowed in the forums.

I will try again to answer your question , asking for info on injectors is what this site is here for. Placing a want ad in hopes of buying a horse, is not.

Simply put we do not leave "Want Ads" in the forums because in less time than you can fall off your horse, the guys would have it looking like a flea market in here. You would never be able to find the information this website is set up to provide because of that clutter, so we provide you with the free classifieds for that purpose.

There you can post want ads for anything your heart desires, as long as it is legal

I Don't understand the difference between lookin for injectors in the diesel forms and looking for other things in the Other Forms but I do understand the need to keep the clutter down. I enjoy the sight and am not looking to push your patience any further than I already have so I will leave it alone and move on. I know it is sometimes a thankless job but alot of us out here do appreciate all the time and effort you put into the site. So for that a big THANK YOU.
