Loading Issues Or Is It Just Me??
Just wondering how the site is loading for you guys/gals the last couple days? Been clicking refresh (slow load w/ it saying looking for dtr.com) a few too many times on this end.

I've had problems ever since the change over. Sometimes its works and sometimes I get the dreaded 409 error code.

Same here! Except I receive a 404 error code (page not responding) during the days it occurs. The site was unavailable on August 16th for several hours. I gained access later that evening.

It has been terribly slow for me ever since the change-over and is quickly getting worse.
I will wait and wait and wait and then it will appear to be finished, at which point I will click on something and the whole mess freeze up again.
I can't read or scroll anything until all the ads finally load, then after the ads, I have to wait for all that silly social network stuff to load.
To add insult to aggravation, I can be on an entirely different site and make a post about something or other, or be browsing some product or other that I may be interested in; as soon as I come to this site, I am bombarded with ads pertaining to almost exactly whatever it may have been that I was looking at; I don't appreciate that business at all.
I have been here quite some time and witnessed a lot of water go under the bridge, but it is becoming such a time-waste just trying to read a few simple postings that it's fast beginning to just not be worth the aggravation.

Have you guys tried an ad blocker, they work wonders. Also I don't see why it would be slower for some then others. I have use DTR all over the place, and even on my phone and I have not noticed anything different since the changeover.

I know this has been discussed before. I have no problem supporting the vendors that advertise on this forum(I have a bullydog exhaust and SBC clutch) That said I see no point in having to see ads for items that I would never buy(currently there is a toyota ad at the top of the screen).

Guys we have experienced some delays since the change-over. I wish you could see the chatter that's been going on in the back room because we're seeing the same thing. We have been working with ib to resolve this. On their side they have had us running all kinds of data logging and passing the results back to them. I think they are about to zero in on the cause and are working on a solution. Patience grasshopper.

I agree; 95% of the ads are in no way related to what this forum is all about.
I also believe that the changeover brought on some sort of "spyware", if you will, because too many of the ads at the top of the page are right in line with whatever anyone on this computer may have recently been looking at.
Ads, be they TV, radio, magazine, internet, whatever, have never had any influence on what or when I buy.

Your suspicions of spyware here are unfounded to the best of my knowledge however, if you're using FF, look at the bottom left corner as you load any page. You will notice that Google analytics appears as the page loads most times. Google sponsors (controls) the ads at the top of the page. When you look over the internet Google is everywhere. They follow you, not us, so as you look here you may see ads for things you don't expect plus, the more you pay, the more you get. Google's top payees get more exposure than the guys who take the cheap route. Stumble upon is another that tracks allot.
