This has been one of those "wonder questions" I've had for a while. I noticed on the main page of the site a reference to 'dodge-diesel.org', which also is the oldest of the two domains. So what's the deal? Did this place used to be dodge-diesel.org? You still get any hits on the old domain name? Which is better? Was dodge-diesel.org not "cool" enough for you?

 

Yea the site used to dodge-diesel.org when I 1st found it. I dont remeber why the changeover happened but that what it used to be.

 

did this place use to be ALL diesel trucks..Chevy, dodge, and ford??
so did it go like this...
all dodge....then all diesel trucks...then back to Dodge diesels(where we are at today)... right?????

 

I remember Jack talking about going back to the Dodge, Chevy, Ford thing.

As far as the forums setup was concerned... yes. There used to be specifc spots for all the types but like always all brands are welcome.

I guess dtr.com could have come before dd.com if the whois lookup updates each time the domian was renewed, and the original domain was purchased for a longer time than the other one...

It was all Dodge, then they tried having Ford and Chevy but it didn't really work out, so it went back to all Dodge....

 

Dodge-Diesel.org was the original and then Jack changed the domain name to keep DC from smacking us for using the name Dodge. We did try a stint after becoming DTR, where there were seperate forum categories for Dodge, Ford, and GM but that didn't last long due to very little traffic in the Ford and GM categories. This was basically because they had their own sites I guess. However,, from the very begining,,,, we have always welcomed any brand as long as you can follow the site rules.

 

I was invited to this site by John_P even though I have a Ford Powerstroke(or JOKE)as most other brands call it.

I like all trucks and like to see what everyone is doing to THEIR truck to make it go fast no matter the brand.

Maybe I will learn some of the Dodge secrets... I know John_P has some because I have lined up with him at the dragstrip
