Chastised

Well I got chastised for posting on the help forum when I was under the impression that when you need quick help that was the place to put it. I was working on the truck and had the linkage off and the dust cover off ready to turn the fuel screw and there was the collar and I did not know how to remove it,so I went to the computer and asked for help. Did I put it in the wrong place?

I must be missing something as I didn't see anybody chastise you in any manner. I did see where your posts was moved to the 1st gen section to help you receive quicker answers from those in the know.

I see what you mean now, but his intent was not to chastise you . Normally the help forum is the right place to ask questions like yours. The 1st gen trucks however have a much different set up than the later trucks, and all the 1st gen guys seem to hang together in the 1st gen forums.

This is why he suggested your question be moved there so that those guys would see it and be able to help you promptly. If you place your 1st gen specific questions within those forums, you will get all the help you need and then some

Welcome to DTR

Don't worry about it, Charlie. If I don't like where you post something I'll just move it. Ain't gonna yell at you about it.

Definitely no intent to slap any paws Larry is spot on---think of the 1st gen forum as 'one-stop-shopping' for all your first gen needs If I hadn't seen your post first, you woulda had half a dozen over-valvers telling you to re-post in the first gen forum Don't get me wrong, everybody wants to help out, but 1st gen Kung-Foo is getting to be a lost art
