Can't open forums

I have noticed over the last week or so that there have been times that I logged onto this site and found that I could not open any of the engine/drivetrain forums but I could open the general questions forums and I was wondering if there was a reason for this.

I couldn't tell you. I haven't had any issues with that. What browser are you using?

Re:Can't open forums

That's weird,,,,,,, ???
I haven't heard of that problem before. You can try logging off of the site, then clear your cache, cookies and history. Then log back on and see if you continue to have the same problem. I do know that Jack (the webmaster) says some browsers don't work well with our forums. I'll bring this post to his attention and maybe he can help you out better than I can since I'm a little computer challenged myself. :

I use IE 6.0.

Typically I clear history and cookies every day.

Today I didn't experience this problem and it hasn't always been consistant. Usually I just try back later and it will work. I'm confident that I'm not doing anything different each time I access the forums so I'm at a loss as to what is happening.

Possibly it may have something to do with my ISP.

Re:Can't open forums

I'm using IE 5.5 and I've never had any problems. I have experienced a few when using Netscape, but none like you describe. Maybe it is an ISP problem. Hope it won't give you any more problems.

Re:Can't open forums

I was using Comcast... had a lot of problems with them. Switched cable and cable internet to wideopenwest! Cheaper than Comcast and alot more reliable! Check 'em out and see if they are in your area!

http://www.wideopenwest.com

Tony
