On the 2nd gen trucks whether 12 valve powered or 24 valve, much of the stuff is the same. No sense in having multiple forums with the very same stuff in them.

I was thinking along those same lines myself!
I would think that the 1st Genners know where they stand and that most folks envy anyone with "The First Real Diesel Pickup" in the world.

using that logic our trucks are nothing like the 2nd gen trucks... we should have our own section! even if it is at the bottom
(not upset at all just poking fun)

I think we need to have our own section, like, on the side. With columns. (Just to give Jack a really hard time...)

Gee. Now I wish I had a 1st gen. I could tell people I was a pillar of DTR. How come the 3rd gens have to be at the top?

Thanks for always working on improving this great site.

Ok the truth is, we were moved to the bottom out of jealousy and envy. But when we drive a real truck the rest are bound to feel inferior. If it wasnt for the cummins engine they would all be driving Escalades.

So all of us first genners hold your head up, blow smoke and remember, we dont have to compensate for short comings like some others. Its not our fault that inferior trucks and thier owners feel the need to compensate.

I sat in the Wal-Mart lot waiting on my mom I took to shop. It would seem 2nd and 3rd gens are as popular as toyota's. Anyone can drive a new truck but only a very few have the class or the spine to drive a real truck.

So all you non first gens give the pretty trucks to the wives and get a real ride.

Exclamation

I'm having difficulty keeping the change in my head. More than once now I've caught myself fixing to post that someone's posted in the wrong forum.

In my world, you can't build something that will stand the test of time without a solid foundation. With that in mind, it stands to reason that the afore mentioned 1st generation guys should be put in their place, at the beginning of an era of automotive history. All the rest of us can only follow you.

That's a good post. (if I can say that, being a 2nd gen guy.)

Well as a 3rd gen guy, I will say I prefer the old way too..

I liked skipping right down to the 3rd gen forums with the general forums being so close together....as those are the only ones I ever look at.

Oh well the times, they are a chang'n.
