If the drive adapter/vss will thread on to the 203 speedo drive it should work. You may have to find a different ratio box to correct the speedo if it is off though.
I have almost completed a swap of a '93 cummins into an '85 crew cab. The donor cummins truck was two wheel drive with a three prong speed sensor. I had a 4x4 overdrive put together and am going to run the NP205 t-case out of the crew. The crew was originally cable driven, so it has the ratio reducer shown in Bookshelf's photo. How can I get from the reducer to a three prong sensor?
Sorry, I forgot to mention that the '93 sensor has a built in ratio reducer and will not fit the t-case. Therefore, I can not just screw the '93 onto the reducer and can not replace what is in the t-case with what is on the '93. The '92 and previous will screw on but are only two prong.
Wanna and other with 2WD trucks have reported having a grease fitting ("zerk" or "alemite") on the gear ratio reducer. The gear ratio reducer on my 4WD doesn't seem to have one. Can anyone comment on which units came with a grease fitting and which did not?
TIA

I hate to open this thread up again but I'm stumped. I have a 91 d350 auto and my speedo stopped working and it stopped going into OD. I figured it was the VSS and bought one from oreilly. I got home and noticed that I don't have a gear reducer on mine so I just replaced the old one with the newer one.
The new one came with a new wiring pigtail but there were no other plugs that I could see on my stock wiring to plug the other end of the pigtail into so I just used my old wiring and plug. Took the truck out and still the speedo doesn't work and it won't go into OD.
Could I have gotten another bad VSS? Is there anything else I can do to fix this? I'm getting pretty aggravate with this truck lol
