Rain!!!!!!

Well, we FINALLY got some rain today! Not much, the ground is so dry I will probably be able to walk out later this evening and it will all look perfectly dry again, but it really is the first rain except for one night that we have received since we moved to this new house in about 2 months!

It was the perfect time for some sideways dually action at the stoplights on the way home... got a few odd looks LOL.

Anyone else get a break from the drought where they live today?

Yeah I was out on my tractor in the rain, since the soil was FINALLY soft enough that I could break though it with the dirt scoop, there were a lot of ruts and holes out in the pasture that I needed to fill... 4WD, tires spinning, mud flying everywhere, and a huge smile on my face LOL.

I was starting to like the drought because of not having to mow the lawn very often. We've got some good rain here the last few weeks. I'll have to fire up the mower this weekend.

*is still paddling through certain areas with lakes that haven't been drained all the way* Come to Central freakin Texas. I used to love rain because rain meant mud. Not anymore. Actually it's been pretty warm here lately with plenty of sun. I'm just still bitter about getting shafted out of most my summer with all the storms we've had.
