silver camper and reverse light pics

everyone likes pics right? Finally got my camper and reverse lights done. Next is a "lumber" rack. Ill hopefully fab that up in a few weeks, as time allows.

Camper is a tradesman. had one on my Furd, and liked it. Not the cheapest out there, but has all i want. tubular alum construction, side doors with slider windows, vent, and removeable front window.

reverse lights are hella implement lights with removeable H3 bulbs. Mine have 130 watt bulbs in the.

here is a pic of the steps I made a while back, which aI posted in another thread.

5" hole saw, welded the brackets underneath the step portion, wired into the reverse lights on the trailer wires.

Did you run the lights through a relay? That is a lot of watts on the trailer light circuit.

not yet, but I plan to. I was surprised at how small all that wiring is (gauge wise) compared to my Furd. At some point, I will put the lights on a relay, and run all wiring through a 3 position switch, so I can have them off, switched or on with the revers lights. Makes setting up camp/towing at night easier if you can switch them on.

I really like the look of those lights! Hows the finish of the chrome around the edge of the hole now?

its fine. I ran some 1/8 or so rubber hose around the edge (window washer tubing). I had it this way on my Furd for years, with no issue. I am, however, going to powercoat the bumper black, along with the steps and upcoming "lumber" rack

That is probably the slickest backup light install I've seen. Can you show close ups?

I love the shell too. Looks to have some of the features I've been looking for.

Edit; I just looked for those lights online but didn't find what I thought you used. Link?

the lights are Hella brand, purchased at 4 wheel parts. i get theirs because the bulbs are replaceable, and most other round, rubber "implement" lights have replaceable housings, not just the bulbs.

not sure what kind of closeups you need, they are just 4.5 inch holes with rubber hose over the edge.
