Your Tranny upgrades

What kind of shift kit/valve body and torgue converter do you have in your truck?

Im going to use either a transgo or superior kit maybe with Sonnex valves. My friend that has a tranny shop can get what he thinks is a good heavy duty torque convereter/lock up.

I definetly would not recommend bd-power or dieselperformance as they like to call themselves now-a-days. Trouble!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

I'm running Dave Goerend's Valve Body & Single Clutch Converter.
OUTSTANDING upgrade.
Drives like a totally different truck.
It actually feels like the engine is connected to the rear end, instead of the stock setup feeling like a rubber band.

Buy a LARGE bottle of asprin.

You'll be smacking yourself in the forehead saying
"Why didn't I do this a Loooong time ago?"

Mine is a Sun Coast Pro-Loc Competition/race Trans, with a triple disc converter, Pro-Loc valve body with "magic switch", along with a beefed up billet input shaft, laminated flex plate, upgraded hoses and dual cooling systems. I couldn't be happier with this trans.

Seabee, I had Daves tightest converter first than he made me a looser one I now have one inbetween the two. Yes I like it, really haven't done any launches with any boost don't want to break any thing yet, from 15-20 mph roll spins the tires well into 3rd gear. What ever one you choose I'm sure you'll like it,you can't go wrong with Dave. Thanks Steve B.

I have 6,000 miles on my ATS setup. Love every minute of driving. Feels more like a sports car than a truck. Heading out this weekend for the first time with all of my upgrades from the winter. I will be at 22,000 lbs. Can't wait to see how the rig pulls the hills.
