Ok then with my DTT tranny going in will I have a better shot? Do you guys have better launches with the DTT tranny?

 

With a better tranny you will start having traction problems. When street racing, if it looks like it could be close, I launch in 4x4.

My friends and I have tossed the idea around about taking some windshield washer nozzles, and aiming them at the rear tires and having them spray traction compound on to the tires.

 

Try alcohol. You'll put on a real show if fire is bellowing out the back of you truck when you light em up!

 

Well depending on whta your truck can do now, shouldnt be too hard to get the older ones, I have a 82, my gasser takes it and the diesel keeps up. and neither are modded. All depends on the model of vette your taking. of course mine is an auto, no fun in a sport but makes the insurance cheeper! haha
