I make 34 psi max with my hy. I dont have a turnbuckle, is my wastegate stuck? I dont know to much about turbos, if it was stuck how does it relive the pressure? Sorry fo the dumb question but just curious. Thanx

Look in my photo gallery....I don't have the dual turnbuckle in that picture, but it will kind of show you an example of how I did it. The picture I had is using one turnbuckle and a spring........but it will give you an idea of how I did it. Or heck here I''ll put it on here

Yeah I'd say that your wastegate is stuck shut.......which is basically what the turnbuckle does.....just keeps the gate shut so you can build more boost.

Looking at Sea Drive's pic makes me wonder - couldn't a piece of all-thread be screwed into the actuater and locked down pretty quickly with a couple of nuts and some flat washers on the wastegate mounting location? I need to lock mine down here at some point, I just havn't gotten around to it yet.

I habve the BD J-Hook. They claim 26-28 psi instead of the stock 19-20 psi. I don't have a boost gauge, so I take their word for it.

You could probably do that, but then you'd have to take the turbo off to do it......which there is nothing wrong with that it just takes more time and work. I think when I put mine on, it took me roughly 20 minutes or so to get it all put on and good to go.
