Where's the best place for southbend clutch?
Call Peter at Southbend. Tell him what you have and where you expect to max out powerwise, and what you use your truck for. If you haven't already, do a search on clutches so you will have a good idea what clutches others have compared to their power range. Myself as well as many others started out with too small of a clutch and have had to go to the double disk clutch to hold the power, so take that into consideration as well. Peter has distributors as well......might as him which ones are running sales right now?

Good idea, thanks. It never crossed my mind that they might tell me which of their distributors are having sales, but now that you mention it, it makes sense. Otherwise, they'd be competing with their distributors.
Best place for South Bend Clutch...Between the engine and tranny

Call Peter, then, if you have a favorite vendor and would like to give them some business, call them! I'll bet the price would be close

I ordered one earlier this afternoon. I ordered it directly from southbend. It's the 3600 12 CB. That's a dual disk rated for light sled pulling. It's supposed to handle 1200 ft/lbs pretty safely. I bought it for when the truck will have twins. It was incredibly expensive-$2400 plus roughly $100 shipping. That includes the clutch, I think the flywheel, the $500 billet cryo-treated input shaft, and the $200 hydraulics upgrade to lighten pedal pressure. I hope I didn't spend way too much, since I ordered it before I saw these responses.
