where do I locate my fuel pressure sensor with air dog?

Well vp went out, lift pump is still good but I am still upgrading to airdog II. I have a fp guage that the sensor is located on the fuel filter.

To my understanding with the air dog II i wont need the factory fuel filter? Am I correct on this one?

If so where and how do I mount the fuel pressure sensor for my guage?

You have two options; one is it has a built in pressure fitting and you can connect to that but it is at the pump its self, the other is you can buy the fitting that attaches to your VP with a place for your pressure fitting.

where is the fitting at on the pump? Is the only difference, that I will have to have longer wires for it?

It has a plug that you can plug into, so longer wires. Check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hnJRg8kJLE

vulcan sells a push loc fitting thats tapped for your sensor, costs about 9$, I cut the line about 12inches from the VP, and use a needle valve to cut down on VP pulses from damaging the sender, on my set up I also run a low pressure sender for a light

Mine is on the VP44. Originally it was at the filter but my diesel mech said it was better to put it at the VP44. I would think anywhere after the filter would be ok.

definitely not better physically on the VP...tooo much vibration from the engine, and make sure there is a snubber(needle valve) as the pulses (hammering) from the VP can ruin a sender as well

Why not leave the filter housing on the engine and keep the sender there? Having and extra filter isn't a bad thing.
