Where to attach line for FP gauge?

I got my Isspro gauges from Rod at Wildcat Diesel, but he's no longer around ... so which plug do I remove on the top of the fuel filter: the one toward the center, or the one toward the outside? I think I want the pressure post-filter so I can monitor it going into my new pump. And the tubing he gave me is Imperial Impolene 22PY-1/8 NSF 51 MAX OPER TEMP 212F. If one of you experts on this could confirm that this is the right stuff, I'd sure appreciate it!

If it's the same as my '99, it should look something like this. I don't know about the tubing.

That's a picture of my FP gauge setup.
The line is connected to the Post-Filter test port.

Here is a pic of my set up....the hard line with the needle valve is post filter that runs to the in cab gauge and the gauge on the filter housing measures pre filter pressure.

Ouch! That hurts! The engine is a lot cleaner these days.....still working on getting it cleaner, though. After 230K + hard working miles and 7 salt filled winters, it needs a lot of attention....the previous owner did absolutely nothing to keep the engine bay clean. I guess I better post some pics when it's done to redeem myself, huh? Sheesh!

Similiar, except it goes on the bottom of the filter housing. Do a search and you can find a pic.

A tapped Comp and 130 hp sticks with no FP pressure gauge?!?!

Yikes....better get one right away!

On 00 and later CTD's, there are no provisions on the fuel filter canister to tap into for a FP gauge so you have get the correct fitting to screw onto the schrader valve test port on the VP44. The fitting is a #4 SAE fitting...it has a 45* flare but a 37* -4 JIC hydraulic fitting will screw and fit fine with no leaks as the pressure is too low to cause any problems.

Some folks use a tapped banjo bolt under the fuel filter canister as their pick up point.
