What's wrong with my Pyro?
Installed the big three recently (pyro, boost, FP) and learned I have a bad lift pump (big news
). But, the darn pyro does not appear to be working. I have it wired with an add a circuit on the blower fuse. It looked like it was working for the first few days driving empty. It showed 6-700 on normal driving and I could get it to hit 1000 with hard acceleration but it would come down as soon as I let off. Then I hauled a 6000# trailer with it and bingo, 14-1600 on acceleration and it would stay there even after I let off. But I kept driving because I just didn't believe the readings and no problem. Boost looks normal.
I may have screwed up by wiring the ground into the trailer brake ground. The first few days I was not hauling a trailer and no problem. I realized too late this might cause a problem (???) and wired the ground to the nearest piece of metal frame after I saw the high readings when hauling the trailer. Hauled the trailer again though and it gave the same readings (14-1600 on acceleration) with the new ground. Did I toast the gauge?

When I wire those using the add a fuse...I use the cigar circuit also have you checked to make sure that it is grounded good?????
The only other issue that I have had is the amplifier box having fits..

When I first installed my gauges, I had a problem with the pyro reading high (1000F on a cold start at idle, 1600+ just going down the street cold at 30 km/h). Turns out that one of the pins in the connector had pulled out a bit, creating resistance in the circuit and causing an inaccurate reading. These were on autometers, FWIW.
