Like the title says what is normal movement up and down and side to side on a 62/71/13 turbo shaft

 

well i dont know for the 62 but i know for my 64 that my end play is either non existant or its so small i cant tell that it moves.. and thats how you want it to be less shaft play the better

 

Well mine has a little play front to back when I wiggle it radiator to fire wall, this is probably not good??

 

Thats bad, hood to ground and fender to fender can have some play but in and out like you said is no good.

You can probably buy a rebuild kit for it. If it gets very bad at all, the compressor wheel will eat into the compressor housing. You should be able to rebuild it yourself for a lot less than a shop would charge if you have much mechanical knowledge. They arent too hard.

 

I have had this turbo for just a little over a year is it normal for them to wear this fast?

 

Call HTT and see what they say.
