What is more accurate Edge Attitude, QZilla Commander or standard gauges ?

I understand Pyro is same for all (through a thermocouple), how about boost, fuel, and temp ?

Personally, I'd never trust one unit to monitor everything.

Analog guages all the way.

For boost and fuel you can't beat mechanical gauges. Temp uses a thermocouple too so either way.

That's what I was wondering, the compact use the information from ECM, I don't think it can be the most reliable.

Analog will be, then.....

Thanks

Even for EGT's, I prefer an analog guage.

It's easier to notice a position of a needle, then have to read a string of numbers.

Even if the sender is not analog, I agree, the gauge is easier to glance at, you don't really have to focus on it.

The Commander has been spot on for mee. Have compared it with fairly high dollar guages and all readings have been within 1% ! As for analog guages, almost all of them anymore are using digital signals, and those that actually are mechanical, when they do mess up, how do you know? At least with digital guages there is usually something pretty screwy going on to give you a clue that they are bad. With a mechanical guage it's hard to tell if it is out of calibration. I'm sure others will chime in about the bad, but with the technology we have nowadays I think digital guages are more accurate and easier to diagnose if one reading is goofy.

The question isn't really about the reliability of the gauge itself. Both digital and analog gauges are pretty robust. The question is whether the signal sent to the gauge is accurate. Mechanical gauges are the most accurate imo. It uses a little plate on a spring with the good 'ole Pressure = Force / Area. Electric pressure sending units are infamous for going bad or yielding inaccurate readings. Not to confuse thermocouples with electric.

I've got a Commander and I'm not sure how accurate it is but I do like how it has everything all in one. I've driven trucks with gauges and I feel they take my eyes off the road, tach, speedo ect. longer then the Commander. I think it really depends on what you get used to though.

I've had to send one Commander back, the 2nd one has a dead line of pixels and the fuel pressure sender just failed...
