Well it looks like the front gear cover is leaking so while I'm in there I'm going to put a cam in. I'm thinking the helix 2. Should I go with the iron one or wait for the new steel ones comming out? I'm hopeing the cam gives me lower egt's and smoke and faster spool up of the sps62/14. I'm also putting in head studs at the same time. with that cam do I need those sportsman springs or can I save alot of money and just put cummins 60lbs springs in? I dont plan on changing my 3k GSK. Lastly are there any other mods I should be considering at this time while that stuff is apart?

Yeah Hope your cover isn't Cracked from the KDP have you done that yet? The 60lb Cummins springs are fine. Sportsman springs are just for the 24v's anyways. And if your just staying with your stock Injection pump and keeping the power moderate, you should be fine with just the Cast Helix 2 with bolt on gear and retainer.

I fixed the KDP a long time ago and I recall that front crank seal being a pain in the butt to put in so I'm sure thats whats leaking. I guess 1200 foot pounds is considerd moderate these days right?
